about

AM.A.I is an ongoing investigation into the boundaries between human identity and artificial intelligence. Through two research projects, I explored how conversational AI can imitate the way people think, communicate, and express themselves, and how these imitations affect our perception of what makes us human.

Beginning with AI-generated digital twins based on personal conversations, the research developed towards more complex forms of impersonation, investigating how closely an artificial system could reproduce an individual's personality, behaviour, and emotional nuances. Both projects examine the tension between what can be replicated and what remains difficult to capture, questioning how we recognise authenticity, establish connections, and define our own humanity in an age of increasingly convincing simulations.
