Flippos are collectible plastic discs found in Dutch and Belgian chip bags in the late 90s. The project began with a simple assignment: create something froman object bought on Marktplaats. Working with the Flippos, I became interested in the collision between their playful nostalgia and my own memories of Brazil.
‍The two collided into something in between: a carnival-inspired topassembled from someone else’s childhood nostalgia, loosely shaped around the colours of the Brazilian flag.
